Kanchenjunga - The Sleeping Buddha!!!

Kangchenjunga, also spelled Kanchenjunga, is the third highest mountain in the world. It rises with an elevation of 8,586 m (28,169 ft) in a section of the Himalayas called Kangchenjunga Himal delimited in the west by the Tamur River, in the north by the Lhonak Chu and Jongsang La, and in the east by the Teesta River.
Kanchenjunga is known all over the world for its breath-taking views from Darjeeling. As permission to trek up the hill range is very rarely given, the peaks haven't lost their pristine beauty. It is also known for assuming different colours during different times of the day.
The name Kan- mean head, chen- mean belly and jungha- mean knee. So, if you can clearly view these three tops at same time, you could see that Buddha is sleeping. That's why this hill is also known as sleeping Buddha.

Tour Itinerary

DAY 01: BANGALORE – BAGDOGRA (2.45 HRS FLIGHT) – GANGTOK (120 KMS / 5 HRS)

Meals

Assemble 2 hours prior flight at Bangalore Airport, and then proceed to Check in counter for the check in.
Complete check in formalities and board your flight.
On your arrival at Bagdogra airport, meet your driver and transfer to Gangtok.
Arrive Gangtok and check in hotel
Day free at leisure on your own
Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 02: AT GANGTOK

Breakfast at the hotel
After breakfast start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city. (In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provide alternate sightseeing.)
Arrive back to the hotel in the evening
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 03: GANGTOK – PELLING (150 KMS / 5 HRS DRIVE)

Meals

Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast, check out and start for Pelling (6,300 ft.).
Enroute visit Samdruptse & Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham) in Namchi.
Arrive Pelling and check in hotel for dinner and overnight stay

DAY 04: AT PELLING

Meals

Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast start for full day sightseeing to visit Darap village, Rimbi water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake & Khangchendzongha waterfalls.
In afternoon, visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Sky Walk, New Helipad Ground.
Arrive back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay

DAY 05: PELLING – DARJEELING (80 KMS / 4 HRS DRIVE)

Breakfast at the hotel.
This morning after breakfast transfer to Darjeeling (6,950 ft.) via Singla check post.
On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 06: AT DARJEELING

Meals

Early morning (4 am) depart to visit Tiger Hill (Subject to availability of permit) to witness the Sunrise.
Arrive back to hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast start at 8.30 am for the sightseeing to visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Ropeway, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia loop.
Evening free for shopping or leisure.
Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 07: DARJEELING – BAGDOGRA (75 KMS / 3 HRS) – BANGALORE (2.50 HRS FLIGHT)

Check out and proceed to Bagdogra Airport to board the flight back home.

Maximum 3 adults allowed per room. As a Third person in a Triple room, most of the hotels used roll-away beds and room size may be the same as the Double room.
Additional supplements on account of fuel hikes as and when received would be applicable with immediate effect.

On days when certain attractions, sights, monuments, museums, etc. are closed, the Tour Manager reserves the right to amend the Itinerary / cancel the visit.
There are no refunds for any services i.e. meals, sightseeing, etc. not utilized on your tour. For the convenience.
