Windsor Castle


This splendid fortress has been a landmark of England’s history ever since it was built 950 years ago. This has been a Royal residence. It is an easy train journey from London. The castle is built on an area of 13 acres and is probably the biggest inhabited castle in the world. If you look down from a plane encircling Heathrow, you will find the crenelated towers of the castle as the first sight of UK. If you miss out on Windsor castle, then definitely your visit is incomplete.

Stonehenge


It is a very unique and remarkable place in this whole world. It is believed to have come into existence around 5000 years ago. Ever larger number of people is being drawn to this spot every day. You can be one of the thousands who gather to watch this wonderful place. This should be on you must see list as you visit  UK and Wales.

Snowdonia


It is composed of deep glacial valleys and some of the oldest rocks on earth. The interesting striking feature of Snowdonia National Park in North Wales is that it was formed during the ice age period. It is a very perfect place for mountain walks, trekking, riding, cycling and many more activities. It is one of the places in UK where weather changes so drastically.

Hadrian's wall


This wall was built by romans in the north of Britain from Carlisle to Newcastle – on – Tyne. This was done to protect Scotland from invasion. The remnants are still present for around 73 miles in the form of stone fences, stone barns and cobbles. The wall is just a glimpse of Roman history in Britain. 

York Minster


It is one of the seven wonders of Britain. This is considered to be the largest medieval gothic cathedral in northern Europe. It took 250 years to build this magnificent structure from 1220 to 1472 AD. It has the biggest expanse of medieval stained glass in the world. The best place to have afternoon tea after a visit to York Minister is Bettys Café Tea Rooms, another famous institution in the city of York.
