Mysterious Amsterdam

Amsterdam, the beautiful capital city of Netherlands is known for its amazing canal networks and houses with those gabled facades. The city has a history and legacy that dates back to 17th century. Amsterdam is a must see, if you plan to visit Europe.


You can spend the evening and afternoon in the most favorite area of Amsterdam, the Jordaan Area and the Nine little streets. This is one of the very picturesque spots of Amsterdam...consisting of a maze of canals, bridges and row of homes. You can find Cafes spilling out into the side streets and people relaxing and enjoying a drink.

You can even go for a canal cruise. These are ideal for tired jet lagged passengers who need that desperate rejuvenation. Select smaller boats which provide you with more space and lesser people. They even serve you wine, during your fantastic boat ride across the city.

Rijksmuseum is another important hotspot in Amsterdam. It is also called Van Goh Museum. On display are around 8000 objects of art and history. Vondelpark is Amsterdam’s green space. It is a good place to sunbath and relaxing.

Bloemenmarkt is the only floating flower market in the world. There are places in and around Amsterdam, which you must not miss. Haarlem is just 15 minutes from Amsterdam by train. There is more to Netherland, than Amsterdam. You can go to less crowded places like Utrecht. Other towns are filled with history, art museums windmills or thatched cottages. Utrecht is 27 minutes by train. You can have a scenic view from the tallest tower in Netherland. Its canals and street cafes are just so scenic.

Delft: This is another very scenic town located on the outskirts of Amsterdam. This is famous for its pottery works. There are charming canals to stroll. It is one hour from Amsterdam.

Keukenhof: This place is a wonderland of flowering Daffodils, Tulips and Hyacinths. To reach the place you need to take a bus from Schipol Airport to Keukenhof.

Zaanse Schans: This is a 15 minute train drive from Amsterdam. It is famous for its windmills.


The Hague: The Hague is the place where International Court of Justice is located. It is at a 45 minutes train drive from Amsterdam.

Rotterdam: Rotterdam is totally different than Amsterdam. It resembles a modern city like Chicago or New York. Rotterdam is 30 minutes by train from Amsterdam.

Giethoorn: It takes around 2.5 hours by bus and train to get to Giethoorn. You will be mesmerized by thatched cottages and canals.  The city is a manifestation of beauty and serenity.
